in her upcoming book. After the first chapter, real life begins to
resemble the fiction she's writing. Her friendship blossoms, sex with
her husband turns into a daily feast, and her job gets more interesting
with each chapter written.
Out of the blue, a person who is a close friend with her husband and who
is dating Cassandra disappears. As the mystery behind the missing
person unfolds, Jenny wonders if she might be responsible for his
possible death. And if she is, what will be the consequence? What has
this writing business gotten her into?

New Title for Adult Novel - Release Date August 22nd
As some of you know, I'm working on a new novel. This novel explores various levels of happiness or the perception of happiness. What is the price you'd pay for such happiness? We all have hopes and dreams, but they often fade with time. New interests develop. We are always striving toward those goals. We often think that once we reach those goals, we can be completely happy. If only I'd lose ten pounds... If only I'd win the lottery... If only I had more sex in my life... If only I had a housekeeper, a cook, a mansion... If only I finished writing this book... etc. Then, and only then, will I be happy. So, inevitably, if that's the case, we seem to never be happy. But what if the if only became reality? But, what if someone else paid the price for them? Would you still be happy?
Anyway, that's just one of the concepts in this new story, which, by the way, is an ADULT novel. It's a romance, a thriller, a paranormal, a horror, and erotic, all rolled up in one. Perhaps I will label it as a dark and humorous romantic thriller. I think it's a little bit of Stephen King meets David Lynch meets Bridget Jones's Diary, if that makes sense. Did someone say WEEKEND???
NA (New Adult) Romance type books are all the rage these days. I've only read a small handful, but here are a few that I either found super awesome or that were highly recommended to me that I haven't gotten to yet. Check 'em. They all look sexy to the max, some have age warnings, so beware.

Five awesome authors. Five books to read.
I'm a little late on these, but I'm super excited to share with you these new books written by talented authors. I've read most of them and loved 'em. The other two are waiting on my Kindle to be read. You should check them ALL out!

Some Blog Love
It's been nearly six months since my last story came out: Dark Horse, A Lords of Shifters Novella. So, what's up with that? Why the lapse in time? I don't know.
The plan was to have Blood Pyre out by March and then the next book out this summer. That didn't work out so well, obviously.
And why haven't I been keeping up with the blog? I don't know.
A blog a week shouldn't be so bad, I suppose. But that hasn't happened in a very long while.
Life happens. Boys become teenagers in a blink of an eye. Work becomes constant. New interests develop. Trips to Hawaii happen. And everything else gets put on the back burner. Well, it's time to get back to work.
Today is my first day writing again. It's been so long that I think I forgot how. My goal was to hit 5K words today. Saturday is my only writing day, so the more words the better. Far from 5K, I reached 1,500. What happened? I don't know. But don't worry because I'm getting 'er done this time.
I'd like to take a few minutes once in a while to keep you posted on the progress of Blood Pyre and other rad stuff I feel important, like vegan cookies and running events. I appreciate your patience with me and can't wait to finally bring you the books you've been waiting for!
